Joshua Kim, UI/UX and interaction designer

I am a UI/UX and interaction designer shaped by my M.A. in Human Experience Design & Interaction. I design from research outward: watching how people actually behave, then building interfaces and environments that respond to them. That work has ranged from research-led app concepts to an AR instrument built at the Stanford XR Hackathon and a body-tracked installation exhibited at CSULB's Duncan Anderson Gallery, with a research assistantship in the Immersive Design Research Lab keeping me close to real users throughout.

What I am pursuing now sits where UX meets emerging interaction: AI-driven products that adapt to mood and context, embodied and spatial interfaces that reach beyond the screen, and experiences that lower effort instead of demanding attention. The throughline never changes: research first, then an interface people can feel.
